Everything about The 2000 Sugar Bowl totally explained

The 2000 Sugar Bowl, the designated BCS title game for the 1999 College Football Season, was played on January 4, 2000. It featured the Florida State Seminoles' and the Virginia Tech . The game was played at the Louisiana Superdome, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Seminoles won their second National Championship by beating the Hokies by a score of 46-29.

Game Summary

The momentum of the game swung back and forth the entire time. Virgina Tech drove the length of the field against the Seminoles in the opening quarter, only to fumble into the FSU endzone, resulting in a touchback. Florida State erupted in the second quarter pushing its lead to 28-7. Virgina Tech fought back and took the lead in the 4th quarter 29-28. But when they needed it most (much as they'd done all year) FSU's offense exploded once again puting up 18 points to close out the game. The Seminoles were national champions and had completed the their "Wire to Wire" season.
Before a record crowd of 79,280 people, Peter Warrick caught six passes for 163 yards and finished with 231 total yards, setting a Sugar Bowl record of 20 points scored. Coach Bobby Bowden completed his first unbeaten season and his second National Championship of the 1990's.
